FALL CSA | WEEK #6 | OCTOBER 22

Halloween Char-BOO-terie Board

A Spooktacular Finale to Our Fall CSA!

For our final week, we're celebrating Halloween with a deliciously spooky assortment of artisan cheeses, savory meats, seasonal spreads, and craft beer. Everything you need to create a festive Halloween charcuterie board, complete with your very own Halloween cutting board!

SAY CHEESE!

New Moon Goat Brie – A soft, creamy, bloomy-rind cheese made with goat's milk. Delicate, tangy, and wonderfully spreadable. Try it with Golden Apple Jelly for a sweet and savory bite.

FLX Gold Cheddar – A rich, flavorful Finger Lakes cheddar with a satisfying sharpness. Delicious alongside salami, apple jelly, and a sip of Doppelbock.

Truffle Goat Spead - tangy, umami, with soft spreadable goat will taste great with the crackers & A SIP OF THE TRIPEL.

SOMETHING SWEET & SAVORY

Golden apple, pistachio, & Cinnamon Jelly – Sweet, golden apple flavors make this a perfect fall accompaniment to cheese and charcuterie. Especially delicious with aged cheddar.

Peach Cardamom Jelly – A fragrant combination of sweet peaches and warm, aromatic cardamom. Try it with the goat Brie for a sophisticated pairing.

Smoky Pumpkin Hummus | PCB Kitchen – A seasonal twist on classic hummus, featuring pumpkin and smoky spices. Spread it on crackers or serve as a dip. Try presenting it in a hollowed-out mini pumpkin for a festive touch!

THE MEATS

Finocchiona Salami – A traditional Italian dry-cured salami flavored with fennel. Its aromatic spices make it an excellent match for cheddar, crackers, and Belgian-style beer.

Duck & Fennel Sausage – Rich, savory duck complemented by fragrant fennel. A delicious addition to your autumn grazing board. Check the package for serving or cooking instructions. These have been frozen and should be used in the next week.

Sea Salt Crackers – Simple, crisp, and lightly salted. The perfect foundation for all your cheese, meats, and spreads.

FRESH FROM THE FARM

Fresh Herbs | PCB Farm – Use your fresh herbs to add beautiful color, fragrance, and a little farm-fresh flavor to your board. Tuck sprigs between the cheeses and meats for a rustic fall presentation.

BREWS & BOOS!

Perpetrator Doppelbock | Prison City Brewing

A rich, malty German-style lager with notes of toasted bread, caramel, and dark fruit. Doppelbock is a wonderful match for cheddar, cured meats, and savory fall flavors.

Belgian-Style Tripel

A strong, golden Belgian-style ale with fruity esters, spicy yeast character, and a relatively dry finish. Its lively carbonation and complexity make it an excellent companion to goat cheese, fennel salami, and peach cardamom jelly.

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR LATER

Pumpkin Tea – Cozy up with a warm cup of seasonal pumpkin tea. The perfect way to unwind after an evening of Halloween festivities.

BUILD YOUR OWN BOO-TIFUL BOARD!

  1. Start with your Halloween cutting board and arrange your cheeses first.

  2. Fold or fan the salami and add the duck sausage, prepared according to its package instructions.

  3. Place the jellies, truffle spread, and smoky pumpkin hummus in small bowls. a small pumpkin cut open to serve the hummus in would be super cute!

  4. Fill the spaces with sea salt crackers.

  5. Finish with fresh herbs for a beautiful, festive presentation.

  6. Add some halloween candy for fun.
